Welcome to Our Newsletters and Blog

In the early days of Columbia Ecovillage, the project was moving very fast and we needed a way to keep people interested in Columbia Ecovillage informed with the progress.  For this, we used a blog with relatively frequent posts.  Now that we are a functioning community, we do not feel the need to communicate so frequently but we still want to have a way to let people interested in Columbia Ecovillage specifically or co-housing generally know what's happening.  For this, we will have a quarterly newsletter.  You may subscribe to the newsletter here or just come back to this page where you will find our newsletters posted followed by our original and maybe some occassional blog postings.

Sharing our Stuff

Written by Anne Mavor

I have to say that one of the most unexpected pleasures of living here is seeing my "former" belongings turn up in odd places. Just last week, I was at the membership meeting at Barbara's and noticed her new shoe shelf that looked familiar. Well, just a few days before, it sat in our office and held our TV. And the bright orange and yellow rag rug that is now in our kitchen, once lived in Lisa's house that she moved out of. We have a free area in the laundry room where items wait to be reclaimed. I won't go so far to say that we are leaving behind ownership of things, but it sure does shake up those patterns. I welcome a bit of shaking.
